Our Story

The Buchanan family founded Macon Funeral Home in 1991. Family members have made a tradition of successfully serving Macon County in different businesses for more than fifty years.

"We do our best to establish trust and demonstrate our commitment to the families in the community every day," said our founder, Larry Buchanan. "That will never change."

Of course, part of what we do can be downright difficult as we apprehend the magnitude of the loss. It's never easy. The staff at Macon Funeral Home are always ready to help in times of sorrow and tragedy. It’s what we do. But we are also gratified by helping our neighbours make good decisions in honoring their loved ones appropriately. 

Our crematory is located right here on our property, so your loved one never leaves our care.
